Where's that summer sunshine? Thunderstorms caused some problems Wednesday in Pinellas County. Lightning caused a house fire at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday in Clearwater. The resulting fire caused $10,000 in damage. The overnight storms briefly left nearly 6,000 households in the area without power. The rest of the day saw heavy rain and street flooding in parts of the county. Tampa International Airport got 0.76 of an inch; Albert Whitted Airport, 1.05; and Clearwater Beach, 2.20. The forecast today calls for more thunderstorms, but the weekend chance of rain drops below 50 percent.
