Bradshaw has battled attention-deficit (hyperactivity) disorder and will share his experiences at the dinner-auction at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the TradeWinds Island Grand Resort, 5500 Gulf Blvd., St. Pete Beach. A VIP reception will be at 6:30 p.m.

SEPT. 11 ELECTION ON TAP FOR 2 CITY COUNCIL SEATS
St. Petersburg will hold a Sept. 11 primary election for City Council seats in Districts 3 and 5.
Residents in these districts must be registered by Aug. 13 to be eligible to vote.
The deadline to register for the Nov. 6 general election is Oct. 9.
Register during business hours at any supervisor of elections office, public library, driver's license office or government building that handles social services or disabilities.

Save Our Seabirds Beach Celebration will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 11 at the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary, 18328 Gulf Blvd., Indian Shores. Those attending can visit the sanctuary's baby birds and 500 rehabilitating birds.
The event also will include a fish fry and live music by Michelle Glean and Pat Barmore.

TEENAGERS WITH INTEREST IN FIREFIGHTING ARE SOUGHT
St. Petersburg Fire and Rescue Explorer Post 952 is seeking young men and women ages 14-19 who are interested in firefighting or firefighter paramedics.

MUSEUM TOUR TO TEACH KIDS ABOUT FIRE SAFETY
The Kid's Firehouse Museum in Largo offers tours Monday-Thursday for groups of 10 or more.
The museum teaches children about fire safety and has 12 antique fire trucks, memorabilia, a movie theater and a playground and picnic area.
