MONDAY

Kids in the Kitchen: Chef Joy Rupe will host Kids in the Kitchen, a series of cooking classes for kids, at Ginger Fitness and Rehabilitation Inc., 27553 Cashford Circle, Wesley Chapel, today through Wednesday. Southeastern Guide Dogs tour for Northdale OWLS: The Northadale OWLS (Older, Wiser, Lively Seniors) will tour Southeastern Guide Dogs in Palmetto. Driver safety class: Hillsborough County AARP will host a two-day driver safety class today and Friday at the Sheriff's Substation, W Waters Ave. and Hanley Road, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $10, and registrants must present their driver's licenses on the first day of class. GFWC Spouse Abuse Shower: The GFWC Lutz/Land O'Lakes Woman's Club will host a Spouse Abuse Shower from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lutz Community Center, 98 N First Ave. The event, open to the public, will feature a luncheon at noon for $5, and the organization requests donations of diapers, children's clothing, cleaning supplies and personal hygiene products. Northdale OWLS trip to dinner theater: The Northdale OWLS (Older, Wiser, Lively Seniors) will see Pajama Tops at Ed Fletcher's Early Bird Dinner Theatre in Clearwater on Aug. 17. Book sale and chocolate giveaway. The Friends of the New Tampa Regional Library will host a Back to School Book Sale and Chocolate Giveaway on Aug. 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the library, 10001 Cross Creek Blvd. Proceeds will benefit the library. Call (813) 971-1299.

Models, narrators and sponsors sought: The GFWC Temple Terrace Junior Woman's Club seeks models, narrators and sponsors for its American Girl Fashion Show. Model and narrator auditions will be held Aug. 20 and 28 and Sept. 5 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Woodmont Clubhouse, 415 Woodmont Ave. The fashion show is Nov. 3 and 4 at Embassy Suites, 3705 Spectrum Blvd., and proceeds will go to Tampa Shriners Hospital.
