ALLEN, Larry H. 64, of St. Petersburg, passed away Jan. 15, 2008, under the care of Hospice. He was formerly an assistant manager with the Pinellas County Dept. of Planning. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Mr. Allen is survived by his loving mother, Louise Allen, St. Petersburg; loving sister, Barbara Cartledge, Tallahassee; and several nieces. ANDERSON, Lucille F. 77, of St. Petersburg, formerly of Auburn, ME, passed away peacefully Jan. 18, 2008, after a short stay at Northside Hospital. Lucille attended Lewiston High School and was a member of St. Patrick's Church. She and her family traveled extensively with the Air Force until her husband's retirement in 1967. Lucille was a beautician and enjoyed being a homemaker and a gardener. Lucille leaves behind her husband of 58 years, Raymond Anderson; 3 daughters, Pamela O'Connell, of Chesapeake, VA, Deborah Anderson, Madeira Beach, Donna Kolthoff, of Merrysville, WA; a son, Mark Anderson, of Auburn, ME; 4 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Daniel Lalonde; and a sister, Sue Hearne, both of Lewistown, ME. ANDRELCHIK, Stanley 86, died Jan. 18, 2008, at Mease Countryside Hospital in Safety Harbor. Prior to this, he was cared for at Countryside Healthcare in Palm Harbor. He was born in Throop, PA, and lived in Elmont, NY, for more than 50 years. He was a parishioner of Saint Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church. As a WWII veteran, he served in the Army Air Corps and was stationed in the South Pacific on Okinawa and on Bora Bora. He served in the 148th Army Airways Communication System Squadron. He worked as a radio operator for Capital Airways. In 1980, after 32 years, he retired from the FAA Agency, as an air traffic controller supervisor for the New York Center, Kennedy Airport. He moved to Palm Harbor in 2005 and has been a member of Saint Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church. His survivors include his wife of more than 60 years, Clotilda; and his daughter, Paula. All other family members and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service to be held at Curlew Hills Funeral Home, Palm Harbor. DERRY, William "Bill" 83, of Largo, passed away Jan. 18. Born in Keyser, WV, and was a WWII Army Air Corp. veteran. He attended GW University; was General Manager of Transportation Federal Credit Union from 19611980; and served as president of the National & DC Credit Union Leagues. He resided in Berwyn Heights & Ocean City, MD, before retiring to the Clearwater area. He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Patricia Dougherty Derry; six children, Michael (Rebecca), J. GREIM, Paul Herman 91, a former appliance repairman, handy man and home builder who was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Largo since moving to Florida in 2005, died Jan. 19 at home. Paul Greim was born in Champion, NE, but was raised in the Fort Wayne area of Indiana, where he was an acolyte at All Souls Lutheran Church. He graduated from Hoagland High School. Paul worked for Western Auto before he opened his own appliance parts and repair shop. The Greim home on Mechanic Street was known as the "114 Club" in tribute to the good food and hospitality offered there. After fifteen years of marriage, but before his son's second birthday, he sold his business, bought a travel trailer, and took his family and his skills on the road. He often spoke fondly of this adventure, calling it their "gypsy trip". He later moved his family to Phoenix where he continued to service appliances, and where he also invested in real estate, buying land near Prescott. Eventually he was building and selling homes in Prescott Valley, assisted by his son. Returning to Phoenix in his retirement, he joined Christ Lutheran Church and became his wife's faithful caregiver. Paul's beloved wife, Sally (Naomi) Greim, died in 1998 after 58 years of marriage. Also preceding him in death were his twin sister, Pauline Yancey; sisters, Margaret Messman and Ruth Brockmeyer; brothers, Albert Greim and Alfred Greim. Paul is survived by his son, Gary Greim and daughter-in-law, Patty of Largo. He has 3 granddaughters, Katherin (wife of W. Scott) Mitchell of Tacoma, WA, Amelia Greim of Seattle, WA and Rachel Greim of Anchorage, AK. HILLENGAS, Donald Victor Sr. 85, of Inglis, formerly of Pinellas Park and St. Petersburg, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2008, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Washington, DC, and moved to St. Petersburg in 1950, later settling in Pinellas Park. He moved to the Inglis area in 1989. He was a WWII veteran. He retired as a sheet metal mechanic in 1987. He enjoyed boating, fishing and just being on the water. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Rita of 62 years. HOLMER, Ronald J. 71, a resident of Langhorne, PA, died suddenly Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008, at home. He was the husband of Pamela Lorenz Holmer. Born in Edwardsville, IL, the eldest son of the late Sylvester and Mary Clark Holmer, Ron served as a corporate executive for several insurance companies during his long career in business. He was the former president of Mid-America Life Insurance Co., in Kansas City, MO, and of United General Insurance Co., in St. Petersburg. Ten years ago at the time of his retirement, Ron was vice president and chief operating officer for American Travellers Insurance Corp., of Bensalem, PA. Following his retirement, Ron and Pam enjoyed living part-time on the Costa del Sol, Spain and traveling the world. Ron was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who enjoyed reading, golfing, attending orchestral concerts and theatrical performances. In addition to his wife, Ron is survived by two daughters, Kathy Holmer and Christine Cofield; a son, Steve Holmer; two step children, Philip Juels and Jacquelyn Familant; three grandchildren, Ginger, Traci and Jason; and four brothers, Donald, Richard, Dale and Gary. HUNT, Richard Paul "Dick" 66, of Tampa, passed away on Jan. 19, 2008, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was the son of Donald R. Hunt and Kittie Ruth Hunt. Loving husband of Mary Beth; father of Andrew (deceased), Russell (Lauri), and Jeffrey Hunt (Jenn); stepfather of James and Tyler Trice (Cheri), and Elizabeth Trice Love (David); grandfather of Drew and Max Hunt, Caroline and David Love, Olivia, Lily and Henry Frostall of whom loved him dearly. He is also survived by his brother, Robert (Carolyn). Mr. Hunt was born in Albion, MI, on April 24, 1941. He graduated from Albion College in 1963 and attended Wayne State University Graduate School and Valparaiso School of Law. He was the founder and chairman of Kendrick Pierce & Co, an investment banking firm headquartered in Tampa. He was often referred to as one of the fathers of commercial banking in Florida, having been responsible for advising in the organization of over 120 banks and thrifts. During his career, he was known for his leadership, integrity and judgment. These qualities were the cornerstone of his success. Mr. Hunt was active in the community throughout his life. In the past, he served on the Vestry of St. Mary's Episcopal Church, where he taught Sunday School. He was also involved in the Easter Seal Guild for many years. More recently he served on the Board of Governors of the Centre Club. He was an active member of St. John's Episcopal Church and the Tampa Yacht and Country Club. He was an avid tennis player and traveler. Most of all, he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Throughout his life he was passionately optimistic and compassionate, and inspired others to be the same. He leaves a legacy of love and devotion to his wife, his family, friends and everyone that had the good fortune to know him. Through challenges and in the best of times, he enjoyed life. He held a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Missouri at Rolla School of Mines & Metallurgy, and enjoyed a successful career working for NASA and in management in the Manufacturing Industry with Olin Chemical, BASF and Engelhard Corporation. As a professional engineer registered in Alabama, he made editorial contributions to trade publications and technical journals in his field. He served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Leonardwood, MO; and he was a member of Moriah Grove Lodge #301. He was a deacon at Calder Baptist Church at Beaumont, TX, and served as warden on the vestry of St. Mary's Church in Sparta, NJ. As a musician, Bill played the guitar and piano, and he directed church choirs in Huntsville, AL. He was an active participant in the Isla del Sol Island Chorus. An avid golfer, he was a past president of Lake Mohawk Golf Club in Sparta, NJ, and former board member at Isla del Sol Yacht and Country Club in St. Pete Beach, FL. A true craftsman, he enjoyed home remodeling projects and endeavors in stained glass. Preceding him are his father Clayton Holiday McGregor, his mother Ida Eldridge McGregor (nee Smith), 6 brothers, 2 sisters and 1 grandson. Surviving him are his wife of 30 years, Norma; 5 children, Steven McGregor, of Roy, Washington, Teresa Galbraith (Mrs. Brent Galbraith), of Monroeville, AL, Janette Agee (Mrs. Bain Agee), of Pine Hill, AL, Lloyd Tillmann, of Lutz, FL, and Wendy Weiler (Mrs. Jay Weiler), of Sparta, NJ; 10 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. OLIVE, Deborah M. On Thursday, Jan. 17, 2008, Deborah M. Olive, peace- fully began her eternal life in God's beautiful garden. Her love, strength, and devotion illuminated every aspect of our lives.
