EAGER VOTERS GOT TO THE POLLS EARLY TUESDAY

In addition to picking a presidential nominee and weighing in on Amendment 1, voters in two Pinellas County cities decided the outcome of some local races Tuesday.

In Clearwater, incumbent Mayor Frank Hibbard faced off against challenger Rita Garvey, who served as mayor from 1987 to 1999 and hoped to reclaim the seat.

In Safety Harbor, Commissioner Nadine Nickeson battled against Mark Taylor for commission seat 3, while Nina Bandoni and Robin Fornino were vying for seat 4.

Election results were not available by press time.
