Riverview star tailback Jahleel Addae decided to skip the signing day suspense; he said he has committed to Central Michigan.

Addae, one of the bay area's top backs, had orally committed to West Virginia, but backed off when he perceived a lack of interest following coach Rich Rodriguez's departure to Michigan. In the past month, Addae made visits to Iowa State and CMU, which had offered him late in the game.

Addae said this decision is final and he'll enroll in the summer. "It's trust. (CMU) is where I felt comfortable the most," Addae said. "I feel it'll be a great opportunity for me. ...I feel I can go in and play right away, and go to a great program in the MAC, which is on the rise."

Addae rushed for more than 1,400 yards last season, becoming just the second back in program history to rack up three straight 1,000 yard seasons.

Raven picks Murray State

Alonso senior defensive end Jamal Crook has orally committed to Murray State. Crook, a Times' first-team all-county selection, was one of the bay area's leaders in sacks (15.5) last season, spearheading one of the area's top defensive fronts.

Crook visited Murray State, and considered Tennessee State and Georgia Southern. The 6-foot-1, 215-pound senior said he could get some early playing time at defensive end or linebacker.

"The people, the school, the coaches, I liked it," Crook said. "I felt comfortable."
