ACADEMY SHOWS HOW TO START A GOOD BUSINESS

Learn from local experts how to start, run and grow a successful business through the Entrepreneurial Academy, a training program of the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce. The next 10-week session starts Tuesday but will accept enrollment for a week longer. Topics covered in the weekly half-hour classes, held in the chamber's building at 100 Second Ave. N, include developing a business plan, marketing on a shoestring and the "30-second commercial." Senior residence adds support wing

Senior living residence Palazzo Di Oro, 3600 34th St. S, now has a state-of-the-art Memory Support Wing that will provide special care to residents with Alzheimer's disease and similar cognitive conditions. Open house to show 'green' building

REAL Building will hold an open house at its environmentally sustainable home Feb. 9-10 from noon to 6 p.m. each day to let visitors see how the company took a small block home and converted it into a "green" building. The home, at 216 84th Ave. NE, is the first project of the company, which is setting itself up as a builder, developer and consultant in the popular category of green building.
