Out of bounds
Previously, Brian McNamee said he injected Roger Clemens with performance-enhancing drugs. Now he reportedly says he gave human growth hormone to Clemens' wife. Clemens' ex-trainer says he injected Debbie Clemens before a Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition photo session five years ago. New York's Newsday reported Clemens pushed his wife to take HGH to help her career as a fitness guru. Clemens' lawyers did not directly address the accusation when asked, with Rusty Hardin saying only, "This guy is a colossal liar, and he has absolutely no shame." During the same deposition on Capitol Hill on Thursday, McNamee's lawyers showed photos of syringes and vials they say will prove the seven-time Cy Young winner took drugs.
