St. Petersburg Catholic High School will hold its sixth annual Baron Gala, "Treasures of the Sea," at 6:30 p.m. March 1 at the St. John Bosco Center for the Arts, 6333 Ninth Ave. N.
Dinner will be provided by Lee Roy Selmon's. Dance to the steel drums of Joseph Braccio. Live and silent auctions will be held. Donations of items for the auctions are being accepted.

Open Air Market set for Fridays through March
Shop amid sea breezes at the Treasure Island Open Air Market each Friday in February and March from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Treasure Island Community Center, 1 Park Place, off 106th Avenue. Fresh produce, arts and crafts, antiques, collectibles, and food are available.
4-hour casino cruise will benefit scholarship fund
The Redington Beach Inaugural Casino Cruise, a four-hour cruise to benefit a scholarship fund for local high school seniors, will depart at 7 p.m. Saturday from John's Pass. Admission is $10. For reservations, call 392-0606.
Food for Thought library benefit will be Saturday
Food for Thought, a benefit for the Gulf Beaches Public Library, will be 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday on the festival lawn of the library, 200 Municipal Drive, Madeira Beach.
It features food from 22 local restaurants and the music of island steel drums. Cost: $20 in advance; $30 at the door. Tickets are available at Treasure Island City Hall and at the library or by calling 391-2828.
