The Tom Steward Trio will perform under the stars Friday as part of the Upham Beach Concert Series. The outdoor concert is free and open to the community.

Senior citizens will take trip to International Mall

St. Pete Beach Recreation will host a senior's day trip to International Mall in Tampa on Feb. 22. The group departs at 9 a.m. and returns at 4 p.m. The cost for the day trip is $10 per person with a St. Pete Recreation card and $12.50 without. City seeks vendors for new morning market

St. Pete Beach is planning to host a weekly open-air Wednesday Morning Market at the Community Center and is seeking vendors to sell items such as fresh produce, spices, herbs, flowers and unique homemade goods. The fee for vendors is $25 per week or $75 for four continuous weeks. For more information, call 363-9245.

Citywide yard sale scheduled for Feb. 23

St. Pete Beach will host its citywide community yard sale Feb. 23. Residents of St. Pete Beach and surrounding communities are welcome to rent a booth for the event, which traditionally includes a variety of goods for sale such as antiques, electronics, clothing, furniture and knickknacks. The fee for sellers is $10 for individuals with a St. Pete Beach recreation card, $12.50 for those without a card, plus a $5 rental fee per table. Admission is free.

When: 8 a.m. to noon Feb. 23.

Hospital guild luncheon, fashion show is Feb. 20

The beach branch of the All Children's Hospital Guild will host a benefit luncheon and fashion show Feb. 20 at Carrabba's Italian Grill. All proceeds will benefit the hospital's new neonatal unit. Friday dinner fundraiser will benefit library

The Gulf Beach Public Library's patrons group will host a fundraiser Friday to benefit the library. Several area restaurants will showcase their specialties, including Leatherbacks, Scully's, Friendly Fisherman, the Wine Cellar, Conch Republic, Mangos at the Doubletree, Salt Rock Grill and Shells. Tickets are $20 in advance and $30 at the door. Ticket prices include admission, food and drinks. The Gulf Beaches Library serves Treasure Island, Madeira Beach, North Redington Beach, Redington Beach and Redington Shores.

Bilirakis forum to help with homeownership

U.S. Rep. Gus M. Bilirakis will host a Homeowners Education Seminar on Saturday to help those attending get information on homeownership. Bilirakis will be joined by representatives from the Federal Housing Administration, and officials from state, county and nonprofit agencies. A discussion is planned on addressing the issues facing homeowners, including adjustable-rate mortgages, obtaining or improving credit, mortgage refinancing and late mortgage payments. The event is free and open to the public.
