Hospice needs volunteers to visit patients: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 27 and 29, Hernando-Pasco Hospice, 698 S Broad St. Volunteers are needed to provide care, comfort and support to hospice patients and families affected by a life-limiting illness in eastern Hernando County. Volunteers spend a few hours a week with a patient in their home. Typically, a volunteer is matched with a patient that lives close by. Pre-registration is required. 796-2611.

Health Fair: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 21, Changes Adult Fitness Center, 1244 Mariner Blvd. The free event will include food and giveaways from various vendors and sponsors. Among services provided include free chair massages from Rowan Hill, a licensed massage therapist at Changes. Free fitness information will be given to all ages and ability levels. Health screenings will be provided by Atenda from 10 a.m. to noon. Dr. Blackburn's office will also be on hand to provide health screenings. Exercises will include gentle stretching, seated strength work with dumbbells and exercise bands. This class is for those wanting to improve their posture, strength and flexibility.
