Gulf Ridge Park Baptist Church, 20200 Manecke Road, will host the Weatherfords in concert at 7 p.m. today. The group began as a quartet in 1944 under the direction of its founder, Earl Weatherford, and recorded numerous gospel music albums. The group performed throughout the country and were on staff for the televised Cathedral of Tomorrow ministry of Rex Humbard. In 2000, Earl, posthumously, and Lily Weatherford were inducted into the Southern Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame. They also received the Grand Ole Gospel Living Legend Award in 1993. Since her husband's death in 1992, Lily Weatherford has continued the group, singing with her son, Steve Weatherford, and Cody Boyer. She can also be seen on the Gaither Homecoming. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Family History Center, 21043 Yontz Road, has a new phone number: 796-7082. Hours of operation are from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesdays, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursdays and 9 a.m. to noon Fridays. Genealogy research is open to the public, free of charge.


St. Mark's Presbyterian Church, 7922 State Road 52, will have a pancake breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. today. The cost is $3 for adults and $1 for children and includes all the buttermilk pancakes you can eat, eggs, meat and beverages. Call (727) 863-5646.


Hope Community Bible Church, 13241 Spring Hill Drive, will host a spring expo to benefit its youth summer missions from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 1. Local vendors will have gifts available for purchase and will take orders. Light refreshments will be available at no cost, but donations will be accepted. There will also be giveaway items every half hour. Vendors include Tastefully Simple, Pampered Chef, the Body Shop at Home, Premier Designs, Cherish Bound, Thirty-One Gifts, Massage or Knots, Bella Eden Designs, Gold Canyon Candles, Michele's Arm Candy Purse Parties, Tupperware, Avon, Mary Kay, Sensaria and Changes Adult Fitness Center. Forest Oaks Lutheran Church, 8555 Forest Oaks Blvd., will host ragtime pianist Bob Milne at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 23. Milne has performed for more than 40 years at the keyboard, intertwining humor and history with his music. Spring Hill Bible Church, 15449 Spring Hill Drive, will host an hourlong young parents Bible study at 6:30 p.m. on alternating Mondays beginning next week. The group will study the book Dare to Discipline, by James Dobson. There is no cost for the course; books will be provided by the church. The church will also resume its Dinner and a Gospel Movie ministry on the last Friday of each month. On Feb. 29, the movie will be The Ride, a Billy Graham film.
