COMMUNITY YARD SALE SET FOR MARCH 15

The Brookridge Community Yard Sale will be from 8 a.m. to noon March 15 at the Brookridge Clubhouse, 8150 Hampton St.

The event will include 60 tables with a variety of items available. Coffee, doughnuts and bake sale items will also be available.

SPRING HILL

Lunch, show to help college-bound student

Hernando County La Sertoma Club will host their annual luncheon and fashion show, Spring Bouquet of Fashions," March 8 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 10470 Spring Hill Drive.

The show will include clothing and accessories from the local Fashion Bug store. The event will include lunch, door prizes and raffles.

Tickets are $14 each and must be purchased in advance. Funds raised will benefit a college-bound teenager and assist other needy organizations in Hernando County.

BROOKSVILLE

Hospice seeks home-visitor volunteers

Hernando-Pasco Hospice needs volunteers to visit with patients in their homes in eastern Hernando County.

A two-day volunteer training will be offered from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 27 and 29 at the Hernando-Pasco Hospice, 698 S Broad St.

Volunteers are needed to provide care, comfort and support to hospice patients and families affected by a life-limiting illness. Volunteers spend a few hours a week with a patient in their home. Typically, a volunteer is matched with a patient that lives close by.

SPRING HILL

Squires hold first public event

The St. Joan of Arc Squires will host a dinner at 5 p.m. March 1 at the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church hall, 13485 Spring Hill Drive.

The dinner will include ziti with meatballs, salad, bread and dessert. Door prizes will be awarded. Tickets are $6. This is the first public event for the St. Joan of Arc Squires, which formed in September. For information or tickets, call Sal Rotella at 686-9228 or the parish office at 688-0663.

Singing group to perform classics

Brookridge Entertainment will present the Four Aces at 7 p.m. March 13 at the Brookridge Clubhouse, 8150 Hampton St. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

The Four Aces have been entertaining audiences for decades with hits such as Three Coins in a Fountain, Sincerely and Love is a Many-Splendored Thing.
