You'll be glad to know that Court Commissioner Scott Gordon has denied Britney Spears' lawyer's request for a gag order in her child-custody ordeal, so we're stuck hearing about this mess for weeks to come. Brit's new attorney, Anne Kiley, asked Gordon on Tuesday to keep the lawyers from blabbing because the media coverage was "emotionally and physically" dangerous for Spears, the Associated Press reports. But likely fearing a gag order would mean he'd have nothing to talk about at dinner parties, Gordon said the public has a right to know court orders. Kevin Federline's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, argued against gagging. Notice Kaplan's always the one in photos and on TV. TMZ.com adds that the lawyers could not come to an agreement on several issues, so Britney still won't be able to visit her children, Sean and Jayden.
J.Lo gets mo' dough
In a move that makes The Juice* want to go out and rent some celebrity babies, People has paid $6-million for the rights to show photos of Jennifer Lopez's soon-to-be-birthed twins, MSNBC.com's the Scoop says. That's $2 mil more than Brangelina got for their daughter Shiloh. And that's only to distribute the pics in the U.S. Ok! has secured the rights for its 15 international editions. Why let the U.S. go? One theory put forward in the Scoop is that the U.S. has been bored by J-Lo for a long time (see: bombed movies and albums). So why spend a fortune for pictures that won't sell magazines like Shiloh J-Pitt did.
Pink, Hart splitting up
In a breakup that's hardly a surprise, Pink and her husband of two years, motocross racer Carey Hart, are getting a divorce. "Pink and Carey Hart have separated," her publicist, Michele Schweitzer, tells People. "This decision was made by best friends with a huge amount of love and respect for one another. While the marriage is over, their friendship has never been stronger." Better friends than when she proposed to him while he raced around a motocross track in 2005? Stories have been around since August that the marriage was in trouble, and Hart has been seen out and about with several ladies. But TMZ.com found sources "close to Hart" who said their careers got in the way, not other people. "Sources close to Pink," call us!
