PRICES UP, SALES DOWN IN LAKEWOOD

The median sale price of a single-family house in Lakewood was up by $31,000 or 17.3 percent from the second half of 2007 to the first half of 2008, according to a Tampabay.com analysis of sales records. The median sale value in the first half of 2008 was $210,000, compared with $179,000 in the second half of 2007. Sales were down by seven or 53.8 percent from the first half of 2008 to the second half of 2007. In the first half 2008, six houses sold, compared with 13 in the second half of 2007.
