Mark Winters ran for 82 yards and two touchdowns in the first half as the Dragons (4-3, 2-0) clinched a playoff berth.
"He's a freak sometimes," Jefferson coach Mike Fenton said of the senior. "Mark has been there all year, and (Friday) was a special night for him."
Each team had big plays negated by mistakes. Jefferson's Quinton Williams found Kevin Beckwith for two touchdowns, but two scores were erased by fumbles near the goal line. Michael Hankerson led the Yellow Jackets (1-7, 0-2) with 93 yards on five carries, but a 74-yard touchdown catch was negated by a false start.
"It was a weird game for both teams, but we'll take the win," Fenton said. "Now it's time for us to gather ourselves as a group and focus on the rest of the season."
