MIAMI VS. WAKE FOREST

The Hurricanes (4-3, 1-2 ACC) enter this week's key conference game against the Demon Deacons (4-2, 2-1) having earned back-to-back wins for the first time this season. They also are coping with a QB controversy. Former Plant star Robert Marve was benched last week in the second quarter of a 49-31 win at Duke and replaced by true freshman Jacory Harris for the second consecutive game. Against Duke, Harris threw for four touchdowns and ran for one. Marve is slated to start this week, though both should continue to split time. Marve has thrown for 676 yards, seven touchdowns and nine interceptions. Harris has thrown for 497 yards, five TDs and three INTs. And while Miami's passing offense struggles (10th in the ACC, 177.57 yards a game), in comes the ACC's leading pass offense in Wake (217.67 yards). Led by QB Riley Skinner (1,287 yards, seven touchdowns, four interceptions), the Demon Deacons are in a four-way tie atop the Atlantic Division.
