NO. 5 FLORIDA VS. KENTUCKY

Before the season, Kentucky coach Rich Brooks told anybody who would listen how much better his defense was going to be. The Wildcats (5-2, 1-2) returned experience and, Brooks believed, would have one of the best front-four units in the SEC. But this isn't the unit he envisioned. The Wildcats lead the SEC in scoring defense (11.9 ppg) but could miss several starters. DT Myron Pryor (high ankle sprain) is out, and others - CB David Jones, S Marcus McClinton, and LBs Braxton Kelley, Johnny Williams and Micah Johnson - missed days of practice this week and are uncertain. The Gators (5-1, 3-1), who lead the SEC in scoring (38.5 ppg), find out whether they can carry over their offensive rhythm from the LSU win. UK's injury situation could mean a big day for the emerging RB tandem of Chris Rainey, right, and Jeff Demps.

WATCH OUT FOR...

The start. It's homecoming and a 12:30 p.m. kickoff. The last time UF played an early home game against a supposedly lesser opponent, it lost to Ole Miss.

12:30 p.m., Ch. 38, 620-AM
