Northeast opened up its Class 4A, District 9 matchup against Bradenton Bayshore with a seven-play, 80-yard drive capped by a Tyler Tisdale 46-yard touchdown run and never looked back.
"This was a big win for us," Tisdale said. "We are now going into Lakewood on a three-game winning streak."
After a Tisdale sack forced Bayshore to punt, the Vikings (4-3, 2-0) used 10 plays to reach the end zone in the second quarter. Ryan Moore found Juarez Wynn for a 42-yard score.
Northeast's defense quickly got the ball back to its offense. Tisdale, who finished with 133 rushing yards and three touchdowns, added his second touchdown of the game on a 1-yard plunge.
The Bruins cut the score to 19-7, but the momentum was short lived as Deandre Walker took the ensuing kickoff 90 yards for a TD.
