SHARKS ROLL OVER 'CANES TO STAY UNDEFEATED

The first 21 seconds of Friday's game belonged to Citrus. The next 47-plus minutes were owned by Nature Coast.

Nature Coast gave up two big plays early, then spent the rest of the game making Citrus pay for it as the Sharks (7-0) won 49-14.

On the Hurricanes' (1-6) opening possession, a double reverse from running back Antoin Scriven to Derek Paquette surprised the Sharks and allowed Paquette to scamper 54 yards untouched for the quick score.

Nature Coast, however, never blinked and 48 seconds later tied it when Antwan Story shot straight up the middle for a 71-yard touchdown. That was the start of 42 unanswered points for the Sharks.

"We knew that they were going to try something and give them credit, they executed the play perfectly," Nature Coast coach Jamie Joyner said. "But from that point on we settled down and took care of business the rest of the way."

Story finished the night with the eight carries for 118 yards and the one touchdown while his backfield partner Drake had 11 carries for 67 yards and three touchdowns.
