What's new
GARZA: Garza is coming off an MVP performance in the American League Championship Series in which he won two starts against the Red Sox, including Game 7.
MOYER: Moyer has lost both of his postseason starts. In the latter, Game 3 of the NLCS, he gave up six runs and six hits in just 1-1/3 innings. He hasn't pitched in 13 days, which manager Charlie Manuel said might help.
Scouting report
GARZA: Garza throws a slider, changeup and curveball. But he's at his best when he has command of his fastball, which can reach 94-95 mph and come at a downward angle.
MOYER: A crafty veteran with a methodical approach, Moyer is a finesse pitcher who tries to get hitters to chase his tough changeup. He locates well with his fastball having late movement.

What they're saying
GARZA: "He's got a good fastball, a breaking ball. He's more of a power (pitcher). He's inexperienced, but at the same time, he's had a big year."
Phillies manager Charlie Manuel
MOYER: "You've got to be patient with him. He's going to flirt with the strike zone and throw it where he wants to when he has to into the zone. Of course, he's just a very bright pitcher."
Rays manager Joe Maddon
