NEW DESTINY CHURCH PLANS HALLOWEEN EVENT

New Destiny Church Fall Carnival will offer a free Halloween event Friday from 6-11 p.m. at 11200 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St. N. There will be fun for toddlers, kids, teens and adults; great food; a dunk tank; car mash; music; health booths; and more. No scary costumes, please. Barkoween party is for pets and their friends

The Barkoween Pet Costume Party is for dogs and their fun-loving human counterparts Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Belleview Biltmore, 25 Belleview Blvd., in Clearwater. Sponsored by Fluffy Puppies and the Belleview Biltmore, the fun-filled night starts with a costume contest. Guests are encouraged to dress up their dogs and themselves. Categories include the scariest, funniest, most original and creative, cutest and the best owner/pet look-a-like costume. Flea market opens with $5 breakfast

King of Peace Metropolitan Community Church, 3150 Fifth Ave. N, St. Petersburg, is holding its second Flap Jacks & Flea Market, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 1 in its parking lot. The event kicks off with a $5 all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast that will be served with orange juice and coffee in the church social hall. Harvest celebration will include organ concert

Christ United Methodist Church, 467 First Ave. S, is holding an Old-fashioned Harvest Celebration from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 8. There will be games, music, food and an performance on the church's Aeolian Skinner pipe organ. Tables and spaces are available for $25 to vendors to sell arts and crafts. Bishop to visit GenesisWorship Center Church

Bishop Corletta Vaughn will make an Episcopal visit to Genesis Worship Center Church, 1818 29th Ave. N, in St. Petersburg from Fridayto Nov. 2. Services will be Friday at 7 p.m. and 11:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Nov. 2. Vaughnwas elected and ordained in 1999 the presiding bishop for the International Outreach, Go Tell It Ministry Worldwide Network of Churches.
