2 KILLED IN ST. PETERSBURG ACCIDENTS OVER WEEKEND

Two people were killed in traffic accidents on Friday and Saturday.

About noon Friday, police say Joseph Langdon, 38, drove through a stop sign on 19th Street N at 38th Avenue and was struck on the driver's side by another vehicle.

Langdon of St. Petersburg died at Bayfront Medical Center on Saturday. The other driver was in good condition and was not charged.

On Saturday, about 10 p.m., an unidentified motorist struck and killed Roy G. Solomon, 56, as he legally crossed Martin Luther King Street at 22nd Avenue S. The driver of a 1999 Mercedes-Benz sports utility vehicle fled the scene. The vehicle was later found abandoned.
