BARCLAY, Edward S. 87, of Largo, died Oct. 7, 2008. Born in Oak Park, IL on Aug. 15, 1921, he moved to Tampa in 1923, and graduated from the University of Florida in 1943 and Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. Following U.S. Army service in WWII, he worked as a commercial artist, after 1957, in St. Petersburg. A devoted member of the Rotary Club, he was a Paul Harris Fellow and a longtime member of the Florida Outdoor Writers Association, the National Rifle Association, and a hunting safety instructor. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Elizabeth and his son David. A memorial will be held Nov. 1, at 3 pm at E. James Reese Funeral Home, Seminole. BUTLER, Stella Catherine 93, died Oct. 22, 2008 in Clearwater. She was born in Manchester, NH and became a registered nurse, served in the Army Nurse Corps as a Captain during D-Day in WWII.
