CHURCH'S FALL FESTIVAL, CRAFT SHOW IS SATURDAY

MADEIRA BEACH

Church by the Sea will hold its Fall Festival and Craft Show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday with a worship service at 4 p.m.

The event will include face painting, pony rides, a bounce house and sponge toss.

The church is at 137th Avenue and Gulf Boulevard in Madeira Beach.

ST. PETERSBURG

Preschool accepting items for yard sale

Community Preschool is accepting donations for its annual yard sale, which will be held 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 14 and8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 15. Furniture, books, household goods and collectibles in good condition are welcome.

Proceeds will go toward the upkeep of the school, one of St. Petersburg's oldest nonprofit preschools.

Items can be delivered to the school 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

New Destiny Church offers Fall Carnival

Clothes to Kids needs help with second store

Clothes to Kids provides free new and gently used clothing to low-income, school-age children in Pinellas County, all from a single store in Clearwater. Donations are needed from individuals and local businesses to open a second store in south Pinellas County.

Volunteers at all skill levels also are needed to help get the new store set up and running, and to help staff the store.

The organization hopes to have a new store ready for 2009 back-to-school shopping. To help, call Jennifer Silva at 441-5050, ext. 22.

Bowl to raise money for spay/neuter campaign

Come out and bowl, and have a great time raising money for SPOT's spay/neuter campaign from 1 to 4 p.m. Nov. 8 at the Seminole Lanes, 8668 Park Blvd. in Seminole. The cost is $20 per person and includes three games with shoes and a small soda. The first 50 people to sign up receive a pet bandana and an Animal Planet Training DVD for cats or dogs. Church rummage sale scheduled for Saturday

A Trash and Treasure Sale will be held 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the fellowship hall of First United Methodist Church, 9025 49th St. N, Pinellas Park.

Items include homemade pastries, adult and children's clothing, jewelry, household items and books.

A light lunch will be available about noon. Proceeds will help the Children's Outreach Program.
