LOCAL FACE ON NEW SHOW

To note

Look closely at Redemption Song, the new unscripted competition series airing at 11 tonight on the Fuse cable channel, and you'll see a local face. St. Petersburg native Kendra Morris, 27-year-old daughter of St. Petersburg Times deputy news art director Don Morris, is among 11 female singers with troubled backgrounds competing for a record contract and music video on Fuse. Morris' tale seems a little sedate compared to her competitors - she talks of being picked on at Gibbs High School, while other women dish on fighting drug addiction, homelessness and stalking charges. But Fuse seems focused mostly on the spectacle of cramming 11 attractive women into one, continuously videotaped house.
