PRICES UP, SALES DOWN IN OLD NORTHEAST

The median sale price of a single family house in Old Northeast was up by $32,000, or 8.9 percent, from the second half of 2007 to the first half of 2008, according to a Tampabay.com analysis of sales records. The median sale value in the first half of 2008 was $391,000, compared with $359,000 in the second half of 2007. There were seven fewer sales, a 17.9 percent decline, in the first half of 2008 than the second half of 2007. In the first half of this year, 32 houses sold, compared with 39 in the second half of 2007.
