It appears Chiefs running back Larry Johnson won't suit up against the Bucs on Sunday.
He returned to practice Wednesday after meeting with commissioner Roger Goodell on Tuesday in New York on the heels of an assault charge stemming from an Oct. 10 altercation with a woman at a nightclub. Johnson may be suspended for his alleged role in that, plus an earlier assault charge for an alleged altercation with another woman in February at a nightclub.
Though nothing is official, the Chiefs issued a daunting statement from president Carl Peterson: "It is in the best interest of both Larry and the Chiefs that Larry focuses his attention on addressing his personal issues. At present, we do not believe Larry can contribute to our team on the field until those issues are resolved."
