The chill in the air that had you reaching for your leather jacket and scarf Wednesday morning was no ordinary October dip. Tampa International Airport set a record low of 43, more than 20 degrees below normal. The previous record of 45 was set in 1910. Some spots in Citrus, Hernando and Pasco counties were below freezing, said Josh Linker, a meteorologist for Bay News 9. It'll still be cold this morning - by Florida standards anyway - but should warm up by midday with an expected high in the mid 70s, compared with Wednesday's 67. How will the weather be for all the little ghosts and goblins? "Halloween looks great," Linker said. "Upper 70s during the day, and the trick-or-treaters will have low 70s with a light breeze - pretty comfortable."
