Now that Ybor City's historic Seventh Avenue has been named one of the 10 greatest streets in America by the American Planning Association, and now that fall is in the air, I can't think of a better time for a stroll around that charming Tampa neighborhood. Schedule it for Saturday and you'll have another good reason for a visit: Ybor Artwalk. Seventeen venues will be open from noon to 6 p.m., including artists' studios along with new and established galleries. Brad Cooper Gallery, the oldest in Ybor, will preview works that will be part of his 24th anniversary benefit auction on Nov. 15 (mark your calendars!), such as Nicholas Morosoff'sCompanions, shown. But back to Saturday. The timing of the walk is perfect for factoring lunch or dinner into the schedule with many restaurants dotting the landscape. Artwalk guides will be available at most places of business on Ybor's main thoroughfares.
