An early morning fire in a North Tampa apartment office Thursday is under investigation.
Two men who were taken into police custody as "persons of interest" were questioned and released, said Hillsborough County Fire Rescue officials.
No one was in the Revere Landing Apartments office at 1520 E Fletcher Ave. when the blaze began shortly before 3 p.m., and there were no evacuations of nearby units, said Capt. Bruce Delk. There were no injuries.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the State Fire Marshal's Office.
Twelve rescue units and 28 personnel remained on the scene for several hours to prevent the two-story building from falling. Delk said officials became concerned after one of the walls began to lean.
