Tickets are now on sale for Apollo Beach Elementary's Casino Night and Silent Auction.
The event is at 6 p.m. Dec. 5 at the South Shore Falls clubhouse. Sponsored by the PTA, it is the school's largest fundraiser of the year. Tickets are $35 and include casino chips, prizes, food and music.
The silent auction features several items including tickets to Disney World and Universal Studios, as well as student projects.
Volunteers are also needed for the event.

Cimino ushers in fall with Nov. 7 festival
Celebrate autumn at Cimino Elementary's Fall Festival from 4 to 8 p.m. Nov. 7 at the school, 4329 Culbreath Road.
The festival includes food, music, games, a silent auction and a used book sale.
Anyone who would like to become a sponsor or donate baskets for the auction should call Gwen Porter at 740-4450.
Used books also are needed for the sale. They can be dropped off at the school office.
Fun run/walk will raise money on Saturday
The Bloomingdale High School PTSA holds a 5K fun run/walk at 10 a.m. Saturday on the school's track.
The entry fee is $10. Registration can be completed at Bloomingdale during school hours or by sending an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. Registration also will be held at 9 a.m. the day of the event.
Proceeds will be divided between the school and the teenager who in April was raped and beaten outside the Bloomingdale Regional Library.
The school is at 1700 E Bloomingdale Ave.
Giunta Middle's Web site gets an upgrade
Giunta Middle School has recently upgraded its Web site to contain a wealth of information for parents.
One of the biggest additions to the site is the Giunta Information and Notification Terminal - or G.I.A.N.T. - which enables parents to see curriculum information and other news from each of their child's teachers.
