A 53-year-old man died Saturday after his motorcycle hit a dog around 5:15 p.m. in the Thonotosassa area, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
Nolan Thorsteinson of 8305 Groveview Drive was riding his Honda motorcycle east on Main Street near County Road 579 when a Labrador retriever ran out in front of him, deputies said.
He hit the dog and spun out of control into a tree. Both Thorsteinson and the dog died at the scene.
