HOSPICE NEEDS VOLUNTEERS TO HELP ITS MISSION

SPRING HILL

Hernando-Pasco Hospice needs volunteers. A two-day training for prospective volunteers will be held from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesdayand May 15 at the office at 12260 Cortez Blvd. The office is on the 10-acre campus that also is home to the Hospice House and new Hospice Care Center. Training participants will be given an overview of the nonprofit organization and the various volunteer opportunities available. Lunch provided both days. Registration for the training required. Donations sought to help poor folks

Love Your Neighbor, a local nonprofit organization that assists the area's homeless and needy, is seeking donations of adult sneakers, work boots and nonperishable food items for the pantry. Also needed are working washing machines and dryers. Donations are tax-deductible and all go to benefit county residents in need.
