The Florida High School Athletic Association shuffled many districts. A look at the local ones.

District's five best players.

1. TEVIN DRAKE, RB, NATURE COAST: The Sharks' bruising running back returns with an offer from Miami and a chip on his shoulder after Nature Coast was disqualified from the postseason.

2. TREVAUGHN BROOKS, RB, CRYSTAL RIVER: The 2,000-yard rusher was sidelined for the playoffs due to discipline issues. If he can overcome that, look out.

3. BUBBA BLACK, RB, DUNNELLON: Rushed 219 times for 1,464 yards for 13 touchdowns.

4. ALVIN DELAINE, RB, HERNANDO: Leopards playmaker rushed for 653 yards, three touchdowns.

5. BRADDIE ELLISON, OL, NATURE COAST: Three-year starter with good hands, size, speed and great blocking ability.

Three story lines

1. SHARKS' SEASON? Nature Coast has not lost on the field since 2007. And despite returning a slew of talent, some wonder if the Sharks and first-year coach Mark Lee have the right chemistry for a playoff run.

2. CHANGING THE SPOTS? Hernando has had several down seasons, but second-year coach John Palmer seems to have recaptured some of the mystique at Brooksville's most historic high school. Hernando is the buzz of the county, but will talk result in a playoff berth, or dare anyone say district title hunt?

3. REPUTATION VALIDATED? Dunnellon, Leesburg, Tavares and Eustis have intimidating names when it comes to football. But none had a winning record in 2008, though two - Dunnellon and Leesburg - went 5-5. But the schools still possess a lot of talent and should be tough to beat.

Key game

DUNNELLON AT NATURE COAST, OCT. 16: The teams tangled last preseason; the Sharks won easily thanks to turnovers. But Dunnellon has plenty of talent and should be on the hunt for revenge.
