WHAT ARE THE DRAGONS DOING?
Jefferson has skill players aplenty, including two of the county's top juniors on offense, but getting back to the Dragons' glory days will be decided in the trenches.

What they're saying about the Dragons
Coach Mike Fenton "I wish we had a few more linemen. It seems to be our problem every year. We're lacking in depth, on both sides of the ball. "
Coach Mike Fenton "I think we have a few more receivers this year. Andre Davis is getting a lot of attention, and its well deserved, but we have other guys who are just as capable and just as dangerous."
Alonso coach Mike Heldt "They're fast and they fly around. They have more athletes than you can shake two sticks at."
QB Quentin Williams "We talked about our freshman year, about going to states, I think we can do that this year."
QB Quentin Williams "My motto is 'prove them wrong.' Most of the time we've been talking about getting our 'get back.' I think that's all of our motto."
Friday Night Rewind The Dragons are so talented on both sides of the ball. Barring the injury bug, they can be playing into December.

Additional charactersA few Dragons we'll be following on Fridays
QB Quentin Williams The junior is more mature and has lots of tools around him after throwing for 2,300 yards and 16 TDs in '08.
WR Andre Davis Williams' favorite target - they've known each other since first grade.
TE/LB Fred Overstreet Versatile H-back's play will be pivotal on both sides of the ball.
OT Garrett Wolfe Senior anchors a talented, but thin, line. Could see snaps on defense as well.
LB Otis Jones Hard-hitter in a strong safety's body, Fenton said he's probably the team's best defender.
