What are the Spartans doing?

Off the field problems aside, this Spoto team is poised for a breakout year in only its third full varsity season, led by a super junior LB who can't wait to get his hands on the ball.

What they're saying about the Spartans

Coach Dale Caparaso "This year has been so much better than last year. Everyone knows what to expect. It's a huge leap."

Coach Dale Caparaso "We made the playoffs last year in our second year. ...I think the expectations are higher now. We have a monster schedule and we're looking forward to the challenge."

Middleton coach Jason Stokes "Athletes. They have athletes. And they're a very confident team. They're fun to play."

RB/LB Rodney Williams "We're a young school so people look at us like we're babies. We're not going to surprise teams, teams are going to be surprised by us."

RB/LB Rodney Williams "Last year we didn't play that many teams in the county. A lot of our friends go to other schools and talk a little, so we're excited to show what we can do."

Friday Night Rewind The starting QB's arrest puts the offense in flux, but this team is one of the county's most athletically gifted. We predict a return trip to the postseason.
