LAKELAND - Jesuit dropped its opener to Kathleen 27-14 in a game delayed twice by lightning.

Tigers quarterback Bobby Eveld struggled, completing just 6-of-20 passes with one touchdown and one interception. He connected with Jordan Perhosky on the touchdown.

Kathleen receiver Brayun Andrews scored two touchdowns and tallied 212 yards from scrimmage.

While Kathleen committed 15 penalties for 103 yards and had two turnovers in the red zone, Jesuit had just one penalty. But it was a costly one.

It brought back a 70-yard score in the third quarter that would have cut the lead to 21-14.
