Turnovers plagued host Canterbury as Northside Christian rolled.
The Crusaders lost four fumbles, one early that Grant Long returned 70 yards for a touchdown. Looking to rally in the fourth, they lost the fumble on a kickoff after the Mustangs' final score.
Quarterback Jimmy VanDeilen led Northside through the air and on the ground. He threw for 20 yards on 5-of-11 passing and rushed for 74 yards and a touchdown on six carries. Chris Culbreth added 68 yards rushing and capped the scoring with a 2-yard run late.
Canterbury began to show life in the third quarter, when a 24-yard touchdown from Dominique Thornton to Bryce Wilson capped a 99-yard drive. But the Crusaders failed to score again.
Thornton finished 4-of-9 with 71 yards, a touchdown and an interception. Wilson caught three passes for 90 yards.
