The Patriots came determined under new coach Kenny Crawford and left with a victory in a matchup of teams that were winless in 2008.

Pinellas Park set the tone on Osceola's first possession, forcing the Warriors into negative yardage.

The Patriots scored when Nick Cleckner returned a punt 62 yards for a score. Quarterback Jessie Hevia ran for the two-point conversion for an 8-0 lead.

In the second quarter, Tony Murphy ran in from 14 yards.

The Warriors' only response came at the end of the half. Mark Oliver completed a 6-yard TD pass to Zach Matacchiero, but Trevor Gregg missed the extra point.

Crawford said his players are believing in themselves. "We tried to make 'em understand that things won't always be perfect."
