BIGBY, Robert E. Sr. 75, of Clearwater, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Aug. 30, 2009. He was born in Pennsylvania and was a quality control supervisor for the Dept. Of Defense at G. BUSTERNA, Bartolomeo 89, passed away at home under the care of HPH Hospice Sept. 7th. Bart, or Bert, as he was known to his family was born in Brooklyn, NY Jan. 15, 1920. He was an iron worker who came here in 1989. An Army veteran, he served in the Pacific theater during WWII, was a member of American Legion Post 79, & volunteer usher at Ruth Eckerd Hall and member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. CLICK, Ann W. 76 of Dunedin passed away pecefully at home under Hospice Care on 9/5/09. She was born in Malta, OH and moved to Florida in 1963. She was a retired Medical Technician and Home Health Care Provider. She is survived by a son, Jeff Keyes (Debbie) of Clearwater; two daughters, Nancy Scott of Dunedin and Kimberly Keyes of Gulfport; eight grandchildren, Farrah & Bruce Allen of New Port Richey, Christopher & Sara Scott of Manchester, CT, Kellie & Bill Kroski of N. DAUPLAISE, Omer J. Jr. 90, of Clearwater, died on Monday, Sept. 7, 2009. He was born in Superior, WI and moved to Clearwater in 1989, from Chicago, IL. He was a retired program manager for the Department of Commerce and a veteran of WW II, having served with the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. Cecelia Catholic Church, and the Italian American Club of Clearwater. Survivors include a son, O. John Dauplaise, III (Janice) of Frederick, MD; 2 daughters, Maryhelen Zuchowski (Dennis) of Newport News, VA and Rebecca Jo Allard (Michael) of Lake Zurich, IL; a brother, George Dauplaise (Cleo) of Las Vegas, NV; and a sister, Jean Nixa of LeMars, IA; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. FISCHER, Dorala "Cissie" 67, of Clearwater went with God on Monday Sept. 7, 2009, at St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Petersburg. Formerly from Evanston, IL, she studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and Michigan State University before receiving a Bachelor's of Art from the University of Illinois. Cissie briefly taught art at Champaign High School. While residing in Clearwater with her husband, Craig, she managed their veterinary practice for many years. Cissie is survived by her husband Craig; two daughters, Susan and Amanda; and five grandchildren, Elise, Griffin, Fischer, Atli and Carico. Cissie will be dearly missed by her family and friends for her wit, generosity and love. FLETCHER, Thomas Joseph 48, of Tallulah, LA passed away at home Sept. 6, 2009. Thomas was born April 25, 1961, in Fall River, MA. He moved to St. Petersburg in 1968, and later he moved to Tallulah, LA in 2007. He attended St. Petersburg Catholic High School. Thomas was a welder by trade and worked at the ship yards in Tampa on U.S. Navy Ships. He was also in several business ventures with his brother Charles Fletcher, Celtic Drilling, Celtic Underground and Celtic Directional. Thomas was an avid gun collector and a dedicated family man. He was pre-deceased by his father Raymond R. Fletcher Sr.; mother Katherine M. Fletcher; brother Raymond R Fletcher Jr. and nephew CJ Fletcher. He will be missed by his loving wife Shiela; son Christopher; brother Charles of Pinellas Park; sister Joanne & husband John Mosig of Burke, VA; sister Karen West of Tampa; his aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews and many many friends. FOGLE, Barbara "Bobbie" 86, of Seminole, passed Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009. Born in Springfield, MA. She was the widow of the late Circuit Court Judge Harry W. Fogle, Sr. A Marine Corps veteran during WWII, she was a member of the Seminole United Methodist Church, various committees, and Grace Circle. Survivors include her son, Harry W. GRAY, Laura Kuschel 46, of Tampa, went to be with her Lord on Sept. 5, 2009. Laura was born and raised in West Palm Beach and graduated from Forest Hill High School, Nikon School of Photography and was a licensed cosmetologist. She grew up in Belvedere Baptist and First Baptist Church of Lake Worth, were she used her beautiful voice to sing many praises and solos. Laura loved waterskiing, wakeboarding, snowskiing, fishing, boating, motorcycles, singing, music, photography and was an avid wildlife lover. She blessed many lives with her wonderful DVD's where she put her pictures to music. MARTIN, Robert E. "Bob" 90, of Largo, passed away on Monday, Sept. 7, 2009 at Largo Medical Center. Bob was born in Essex Junction, VT and moved to Largo in 1956. He retired from General Electric as a machinist. Bob was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII. A Mason of 60 years and member of Star Ledge #78 F&AM, member of the Scottish Rite, Tampa and the Shrine of Montpelier, VT.Bob also served as a Largo City Commissioner (1979-1980). Past Commander of the American Legion, Heisler-Johnson Post 119 of Largo and life member of Chapter 11, DAV of Clearwater. MEANS, Max 87, of Tampa, passed away Sept. 7, 2009. Max was born in Kansas City to Dwight and Ruth Means. He grew up in Ohio and graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1948, with a chemical engineering degree. He worked for Union Carbide Corporation in Charleston, WV for over 23 years and moved to Tampa in 1986. During WWII, he served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Force Weather Service. He is survived by his wife Virginia of 64 years; daughters, Helen Means, Mary Wilson and her husband David; sisters, Barbara Berner of Georgia and Marion Shockney of Texas; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. MORAN, Tonia D. 44, of Clearwater, passed away Aug. 31, 2009 at Dunedin Mease Hospital. She was born in Brooklyn, NY and graduated early from John Dewey High School with honors. She matriculated on a scholarship to Ohio Wesleyan University. After leaving OWU she moved to Cleveland and studied early childhood education at Cuya-hoga Community College. She moved to Pinellas County in the mid 1980s and was a former supervisor for Burger King and Climate Design Air Conditioning and Heating, and currently a supervisor for the Pinellas County Tax Collector. Survivors include her husband, David; two sons, Shaun and Darien; five daughters, Asha (Cedric), India, Noelle (Freddie), Britney and Mary Molly; one brother, Daniel; five sisters, Elouise, Mary, Barbara, Marilyn, and Connie; eight grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. ROBERTSON, Elizabeth T. "Betty", 89, of St. Petersburg, died Monday Sept. 7, 2009. She was born in Waterbury, VT and moved to Florida in 1976 from Connecticut where she worked for many years in real estate. She enjoyed traveling and playing cards with her wonderful friends and family. She is predeceased by her husband, Bill, of 67 years. Survivors include her 3 daughters and husbands, Ellen and Dominic Saglio, Sandra and Gerald Hackett, and Waneta and Richard Montano; her brother, Richard Landry and wife, Margaret; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. ROUZER, Rev. Bruce R. 78, of St. Petersburg, passed Sept. 6. He is survived by his bride of 56 years, Nancy; daughters Catherine Zeller (Mark), Constance Wilson (Ray), Brenda Albertson (Dennis; and son Phillip Rouzer (Susan); 8 grand-children and 5 great-grandchildren. He served in the Army during the Korean war and retired from the St. Petersburg Police Dept as a civilian employee. Bruce married over 1071 couples from here and around the world. He loved serving our Lord and spreading His joy to everyone. Service is Saturday Sept. 12th at 12 noon at Palm Lake Christian Church at 5401 22nd Ave. N. SHEELEY, Leroy 88, of St. Petersburg, died peacefully Sunday, Sept. 6 at home. He was born in Waynes boro, GA and moved to St. Petersburg at an early age. He was owner and operator of Quick Cleaners that was located on 22nd Street South. He was a member of First Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors: sons, Charles (Alma Jean) Johnson of Detroit, MI & Leroy Tyrone (Janice) Sheeley; brother, Perry K. (Henrietta) Sheeley; sisters, Josephine Sheeley (Reuben) McCall, Helena Y. Sheeley Creal, Bernice Sheeley Green and Annie Mae Sheeley Richardson; 2 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends including Christine Grant and Valarie Bennett Williams. SILVERS, Martin 83, died Sept. 7, 2009. He served in the U.S. Army in WWII. Martin was a salesman and businessman in New York, Maryland, and Florida. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Randi. He is survived by his sons, Michael and Marc; daughter-in-law, Joan; granddaughter, Melissa; and sister, Arlene and her husband, Al. WASCHULL, David A. formerly of Romeo, MI and St Croix, USVI, passed away peacefully at home on Sept. 2, 2009 in Brooksville. He was born April 11, 1938. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carolyn, and was preceded in death by his parents and a brother. A celebration of his life will be held on Sept. 26, 2009 at Many Stones, Torch Lake, MI. WEIL, Bessie Ruth Calhoun of Seminole, passed away Aug. 13, 2009. She was born in Bradenton and moved in 1940, to St. Petersburg. Her maternal grandparents were early settlers in St. Petersburg and her father's parents moved to Bradenton in 1904. She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Leroy W. Weil. During WWII, she was a First Class Petty Officer in the Coast Guard. She received the American Theater Medal and the Victory Medal. Her Late brothers, Dallas and Joel, served in the U.S. Army in Europe during WWII. She earned her private pilot license in 1948, and loved to fly, taking many solo trips out of Albert Whitted Airport. She graduated from St. Petersburg Junior College and then from Florida Southern College and received an MA from the University of Florida. She was a member of Pi Gamma Mu, Sigma Tau Delta, Phi Alpha Theta and Mortarboard. For several years, she did editorial research at the St. Petersburg Times and later taught history in area high Schools. She sang in numerous local opera productions and in area churches. She was a member of Calvary Episcopal Church in Indian Rocks Beach. She was past Regent of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. She was a Grand Star Lifetime Honorary member of the Florida Sheriff's Association and a long time supporter of the Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranches. Survivors include three nieces, Sandra Calhoun, Lora McClamrock and Maureen Wilkins; a nephew, Brian Calhoun; cousins Sherrell Boette and Albert Goodyear, and her close friend Colonel (Ret.) Donald Meek, and numerous great-nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Calvary Episcopal Church, 1615 1st Street, Indian Rocks Beach, on Saturday, Sept. 12th, at 10 am. Interment services were privately conducted at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
