Two 14-year-olds and a 12-year-old are accused of breaking into and vandalizing three churches within the past week. The names of the boys, whom all live in Shady Hills, are not being released because of their ages. They were arrested Friday and each face three felony charges of burglary to a business and criminal mischief to a church. They are accused of vandalizing a church at 17505 Shady Hills Road on Sunday night, followed by Bible Baptist Church at 15901 Little Ranch Road on Tuesday night and Shady Hills United Methodist Church at 15925 Greenglen Lane on Wednesday night. According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, the boys broke a glass door in the shape of a cross with a baseball bat, splattered paint and sprayed a fire extinguisher inside a church, used a wooden cross to destroy belongings and stole cash, jewelry, keys and food that had been collected for the needy.

Man accused of child sex abuse
Rene Carrillo, a 28-year-old laborer from Hudson, is accused of sexually abusing an 11-year-old girl, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office. The girl told authorities the abuse began in October 2008, and that Carrillo would take her into bathrooms and bedrooms and lock the door. She said she told him, "Stop. Leave me alone," when he abused her, according to the sheriff's report. Carrillo is charged with capital involuntary sexual battery and was arrested Thursday. He remained Friday at the Land O'Lakes jail, where he was being held without bail.
