JESUIT 39, SARASOTA 20

Jesuit took advantage of three turnovers at Ihrig Field Friday night.

The Tigers (1-1) scored 17 points off three Sailors fumbles.

Jesuit took a 13-6 lead early and after turning a punt return fumble recovery into a field goal, Jesuit got the ball back after a fumble on the ensuing kickoff.

Seven plays later, Jesuit running back Robby Garcia scored his third touchdown of the first half on a 1-yard run with 43 seconds left to make it 23-6. The Tigers never looked back.

Jesuit quarterback Bobby Eveld threw for 202 yards, completing 13 of 24 passes, including one touchdown.

Carrollwood Day 39, Master's Academy 7: At Oviedo, diminutive senior Darius Bing scored four touchdowns in three different fashions to lead Carrollwood Day.

The game was played with a running clock in the fourth quarter. Master's scored on the contest's final play.

Bing scored on a run and interception return, and had TD receptions from Billy Embody and Deuce Gruden, who also registered a double-digit tackle total. Matt Monteilh returned a punt for a touchdown.
