Team Score Time Drive The plays
1st 3-0 Dallas 9:35 9 plays, 31 yards, 5:25 Nick Folk 51-yard field goal. Key plays: Dallas, opening with a no-huddle attack, got on a roll early with a 13-yard pass to Roy Williams and a 12-yard run by Marion Barber setting up first down at the Bucs 26. But a 9-yard sack by Ronde Barber and a head-over-heels hit by Jermaine Phillips on Felix Jones on third down stalled the drive, forcing Folk's lengthy kick.
6-0 Dallas 1:22 7 plays, 44 yards, 3:05 Nick Folk 22-yard field goal. Key plays: The drive was set up by Dallas' block of a Mike Nugent field goal, giving it possession at the Tampa Bay 48. A 19-yard run by Felix Jones and an 18-yard pass from Tony Romo to tight end Jason Witten helped move the ball to the 8. But two short runs and an incompletion again caused Dallas to settle for the field goal.
2nd 7-6 Tampa Bay 10:19 11 plays, 78 yards, 6:03 Cadillac Williams 1-yard run (Mike Nugent kick). Key plays: Any questions about Williams' durability were put to rest on this march. Williams opened the drive with a 7-yard run. Seven plays later (including a nifty push-pass from Byron Leftwich to Derrick Ward for 14 yards), he broke free off right tackle for a 35-yard gain to the Dallas 5. Two runs by Ward set up third and goal from the 1. Williams returned to the backfield and pounded the ball in off right tackle for the score and Buccaneers lead.
13-7 Dallas :46 2 plays, 56 yards, :16 Miles Austin 42-yard pass from Tony Romo (Nick Folk kick). Key plays: Poor clock management by the Bucs allowed the Cowboys another possession just before the half, setting up at their 44. A 9-yard pass to Jason Witten and an offside call against Gaines Adams set up Romo's touchdown pass to Austin, who pulled out of the grasp of cornerback Elbert Mack and ran down the right sideline for the go-ahead score.
3rd 20-7 Dallas 11:23 3 plays, 79 yards, 1:17 Roy Williams 66-yard pass from Tony Romo (Nick Folk kick). Key play: Another quick scoring strike for the Cowboys. Three plays after taking over on their 21, Romo saw Williams down the right hash mark between safeties Sabby Piscitelli and Jermaine Phillips and hit him in stride. Williams eluded Phillips' desperation dive and sprinted the last 30 yards untouched.
4th 20-14 Dallas 13:45 11 plays, 84 yards, 4:51 Derrick Ward 1-yard run (Mike Nugent kick). Key plays: First, Ward broke free around the right end for a 22-yard gain. Four plays later, Michael Clayton held on to a 20-yard pass despite getting crunched by Gerald Sensabaugh at the Cowboys 18. Three plays later, Byron Leftwich hit rookie receiver Sammie Stroughter for a 13-yard gain that was originally ruled a touchdown but marked at the 1 after a Cowboys challenge. Ward scored on a dive over the middle on the next play.
27-14 Dallas 12:43 2 plays, 81 yards, 1:02 Patrick Crayton 80-yard pass from Tony Romo (Nick Folk kick). Key play: Two plays after the Bucs cut their deficit to six, the Cowboys scored on a long pass for the third time. This time it was an 80-yarder — the longest of Romo's career — to Crayton, who slipped behind the secondary along the right sideline and was never touched.
34-14 Dallas 3:57 6 plays, 74 yards, 3:41 Marion Barber 6-yard run (Nick Folk kick). Key plays: Once again, the Bucs secondary got toasted as Tony Romo found Patrick Crayton cutting across the middle of the secondary and hit him in stride. By the time Jermaine Phillips could push him out of bounds, Crayton had gained 44 yards to the Tampa Bay 20. Barber gained the rest on three consecutive carries, including the game-clincher around left end.
34-21 Dallas 1:28 11 plays, 72 yards, 2:29 Kellen Winslow 2-yard pass from Byron Leftwich (Mike Nugent kick). Key plays: The Bucs scored a so-what touchdown late thanks to passes of 17 yards to Jerramy Stevens and 17 yards to Brian Clark along with a pass interference for a first down at the Dallas 9. Leftwich hit Winslow on consecutive plays, including the short pass for the score.
