FORMER BOYFRIEND ACCUSED OF RAPE

ST. PETERSBURG

Police arrested a man who they say kidnapped his ex-girlfriend after he hid in the trunk of her car and raped her at his home. Bojan Kokotovic, 24, is charged with aggravated assault, kidnapping, sexual battery, burglary and aggravated stalking. He is being held without bail in the Pinellas County Jail. According to an arrest report, Kokotovic went to the woman's home on Saturday night when she did not answer several phone calls, climbed to a second-story window and began calling her again as he tapped on the glass. He then broke into the woman's 2002 Daewoo and hid in the trunk after she went to work. When she returned to drive home, he forced his way into the passenger seat. Police say Kokotovic forced the victim, who is not being named because of the nature of the crime, to pull over and change places in the car so he could drive her to his home at 6534 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St. N, where the rape occurred. According to the police report, they had dated for about six months.
