Two days after Florida State came less than a minute away from suffering a huge upset against Jacksonville State, the Seminoles gathered before practice Monday and held a players-only meeting "to make sure everyone's on the same page," QB Christian Ponder said.
Ponder and senior LBDekoda Watson are the offensive and defensive captains and led the closed-door meeting, Ponder said.
The reason to have such a meeting, Ponder said, was "to ensure that the focus is there."
"You know, last week was not optimal (or) what we wanted to see," Ponder said. "So it's just to make sure everyone's on the same page and we're doing everything we can to give ourselves the best chance to be successful."
