MARAUDERS SWEEP RIVAL FOR SEASON'S FIRST WIN

After opening the volleyball season with a loss at Berkeley Prep last week, Clearwater Central Catholic was hoping to get in the win column for the first time Tuesday against Academy of the Holy Names.

The fact that it was able to get its first victory of the season against a district rival made it even sweeter.

Behind 13 kills from Mary Michael Toups and 20 assists from Vanessa Annoni, CCC cruised to a relatively easy 25-12, 25-12, 25-20 win at home.

Kayln Baird added seven kills for the Marauders (1-1), and Megan Miller had 13 digs.
