TALK THE TALK, WALK THE WALK

Shiver me timbers! Get out your hooks, peg legs and eye patches - Saturday be International Talk Like a Pirate Day! This be the day for all pirate lads, lassies and wanna-bes to get in the spirit of their favorite pirate. - You don't have one? Well, take heart, me hearties, for this list be giving you some ideas:

* * *

Capt. Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp)

Anyone who can make a dead-on imitation of Keith Richards look sexy is never going to walk the plank.

* * *

Buccaneer Bruce or Captain Fear

Take your pick of the Bucs mascots - either the Creamsicle days of the fey Bruce or the Super Bowl winning Fear, who used to strike just that in the hearts of opposing teams.

* * *

Dread Pirate Roberts

This pirate could out-sail, out-duel and out-think everyone else in The Princess Bride. Could anyone top him? Inconceivable!

* * *

Steve the Pirate

What possessed Steve to rock pirate gear in 2004 in the Arrrrrrrrrr!-rated movie Dodgeball we'll never know. But he made that puffy shirt look cool, something Seinfeld could never pull off.

* * *

Captain Carl

Who can forget this FOPW (Friend of Pee-wee) who was so ahead of his time on warning us about swine flu (find it on YouTube) and pined for Miss Yvonne?

* * *

The Flying Dutchman(from SpongeBob SquarePants)

A pirate ghost with a twisted imagination, a collection of damned souls and the voice of Brian Doyle-Murray. The one-sock look isn't likely to catch on, though.

* * *

Captain Hook

Even though Peter Pan always gets the best of Hook, he always beat Peter in terms of fashion - after all, he wore pants. And that hat! Aretha Franklin had nothing on him.

* * *

Willie Stargell

"Pops" was the heart of the Pittsburgh Pirates in the We Are Family-era of 1979. Those winning days are long gone but we're still wild about Willie, who passed away in 2001.

* * *

Blackbeard

(There has to be one real pirate on this list, right?) He was one of the biggest, baddest mother - Shut your mouth! Just talkin' 'bout Blackbeard - and we can dig it.

* * *

Captain Morgan

This one's not for the kiddies. Rum and Coke? Now you're talkin', sailor.
