TALLAHASSEE - After earning his first career start against Jacksonville State, RB Ty Jones of Middleton High is expected to start again for the Seminoles against BYU.
Jones, who ran for two touchdowns in a win over Jacksonville State, is still practicing with the first team over Jermaine Thomas. Thomas was the starter coming into the season, and offensive coordinator Jimbo Fisher said he would continue to get carries.

UCF: A new QB
ORLANDO - While Brett Hodges, who will start at quarterback for the Knights against Buffalo on Saturday, is quiet off the field and cool under pressure, friends say the 6-foot-1, 191-pounder has a fierce competitive streak.
"Brett's always been a really good athlete," said senior basketball player Drew Speraw, who was on the same summer basketball teams as Hodges and played against him in football. "He was always really tough competition. He makes good decisions and will do everything possible to help his team win. ... He played pick-up basketball with us this summer, and I still see the same thing from him. He's really talented at everything he does and calm under pressure."
Sophomore Rob Calabrese started the first two games.
