Local auditions for Who Wants to Be a Millionaire in June seem to be paying off for Tampa Bay area participants: A Valrico woman was shown winning $5,000 on the game show Thursday, just 10 days after a Tampa man won $25,000. Liz Bollinger, who owns her own proofreading company, incorrectly answered a question worth $25,000 on the Arabic origin of the word halal. Using a lifeline allowing her to ask an expert, Bollinger took comic actor Ali Wentworth's suggestion that the word meant "blessed," but the correct answer was "lawful." University of South Florida graduate student Kristin Leum will be shown competing on today's show, which airs at 4:30 p.m. on WTSP-Ch. 10.
